Our Story
NEURONOVA was founded in 2021 by Dr. Akosua Mensah, a neuroscientist who returned to Ghana after completing her PhD in Cognitive Psychology at Oxford University. Frustrated by the limited access to advanced cognitive training methods in West Africa, she established NEURONOVA with a vision to democratize brain training and unlock human potential across Ghana and beyond.
What started as a small research initiative at the University of Ghana quickly evolved into a comprehensive cognitive development center. Our breakthrough came when we successfully adapted Western memory techniques to incorporate traditional Ghanaian storytelling methods, creating culturally relevant training programs that resonated deeply with local learners.
Today, NEURONOVA stands as Ghana's premier cognitive enhancement institute, having trained over 500 individuals including university students, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals. Our innovative approach combines cutting-edge neuroscience with indigenous wisdom, making advanced brain training accessible and effective for African minds.
